Invisalign near Newmarket

Clear aligners fit around a working week, and so can the visits. Our Aurora clinic is a short drive south of Newmarket on Wellington Street East.

The short answer

For Invisalign, Newmarket adults and teens can visit Aurora Gateway Dental Care at 676 Wellington Street East in Aurora. Dr. Farhad Sobouti assesses your teeth and bite and tells you plainly whether clear aligners suit your case or braces would work better. Drive south on Yonge Street, Bayview Avenue or Leslie Street, about 10 to 15 minutes, depending on traffic.

Why Newmarket patients come to Aurora

People who ask about Invisalign in Newmarket are often adults with full calendars: shifts, meetings, kids' practices and a commute. Aligners are worn at home, at work and overnight, so most of the progress happens away from the clinic. The check-ins can land on a Tuesday or Thursday evening, when we are open until 7 p.m., or on a Saturday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Free parking sits right outside the door, and we bill your insurer directly if your plan includes orthodontic coverage. If you would rather talk through your plan in فارسی (Farsi), தமிழ் (Tamil) or Tagalog, ask for a team member who speaks your language when you book.

Can Invisalign fix what bothers you?

Clear aligners often work well for crowding, small gaps and teeth that have drifted since earlier braces. Some bite problems and tooth movements are handled more predictably with braces. Dr. Farhad Sobouti, DDS, MSc (Orthodontics), FRCDC, provides our orthodontic treatment. He looks at your teeth, gums, bite and jaw, takes records such as photos and X-rays, and explains which approach fits your goals.

Living with aligners in a busy week

Aligners only move teeth while they are in your mouth, so the target is about 22 hours a day. That takes a few new habits.

  • Take trays out to eat and for any drink other than plain water
  • Carry the case, a travel toothbrush and a small bottle of water
  • Brush or rinse before putting trays back in
  • Switch to each new set on the schedule you are given
  • Expect pressure for a day or two with each new set

Newmarket Invisalign check-ins and finishing

Small tooth-coloured bumps called attachments may be bonded to some teeth so the trays can grip. At check-ins we make sure your teeth are tracking with the plan. Near the end, a few extra trays are sometimes needed to finish details. Once movement is complete, you get retainers, and wearing them as directed is what keeps your teeth from drifting back.

Questions

How often will I need to come in from Newmarket?

After the assessment and the fitting, check-ins are usually every few weeks to a few months, depending on your plan. Dr. Sobouti will give you an expected schedule so you can plan around work.

What should I do if I lose a tray?

Call us. Depending on your stage, we may ask you to move to the next set early, go back to the previous one, or order a replacement. Keep your previous set in its case as a backup.

Should I choose Invisalign or braces?

It depends on your bite, your age and how steadily you will wear trays. Braces stay on and control many tooth movements well. Aligners are less noticeable but only work when worn. We offer both and will tell you which suits your case.

Is Invisalign a good option for my teenager?

Aligners can work for teens who are ready to keep them in most of the day. Some teens still have adult teeth coming in or growing jaws, which can make braces the better choice. We talk it through with both of you.

Does insurance cover Invisalign?

It depends on whether your plan includes orthodontic coverage, which often has a lifetime maximum. We can send a predetermination and bill your insurer directly. You get a written estimate, including retainers, before you start.
